Fraud Prevention Workshop

Do you know how prevalent financial scams are these days?  In 2021 The Federal Trade Commission stated that consumers reported losing more than $5.8 billion to fraud, a 70% increase over the prior year.  Almost 2.8 million people filed a fraud complaint (which was an annual record). Imposter scams were most prevalent, but investment scams cost the typical victim the most money.

Scams can come through social media, phone calls, emails or text messages and fraudsters are always trying new methods to trick you. Knowing the signs to look for will go a long way in helping you avoid becoming a victim.
